Dubai Gold Cup
The richest horse race in the world takes place as a part of the glamorous Dubai World Cup meeting in late March every year. Attracting the top runners and riders from all over the equestrian world, this is the highpoint of the year in Dubai, and a major social and sporting event.
A1 Grand prix
Instead of entering a team in Formula 1, Dubai's royal family came up with their own rival championship billed as the World Cup of Motor sport, and launched it in 2005. The annual Dubai grand prix takes place at the state of the art Dubai Autodrome, and is expected to attract tens of thousands of fans in the coming years.
Dubai Desert Classic
One of the most sought after titles in world Golf, the Dubai Desert Classic takes place at the Emirates Golf Club in early march, and attracts the best players in the world. If you miss the event, there are plenty of other golf courses in Dubai that are open to the public including the Dubai Creek, Jebel Ali golf Course, Nad Al Sheba, and the Montgomery.
Dubai Open Tennis

Dubai Desert Challenge
This motor sport event is a major draw for petrol heads from all over the Middle East. Featuring a terrifying rally through the desert, the spectacle of the Dubai Desert Challenge is one of the most exciting sporting events on the planet, and an absolute must see occasion for motor sports fans.
Camel Racing
One of the most important traditional sports in the Middle East, camel racing is a spectacular sport, and features tiny robot riders forcing the camels to race along a sand track. Betting is not possible due to the laws, but you can still enter competitions to predict the winner and get big prizes.
