Shopping in Dubai
Guide to where to find the best bargains when you go shopping in Dubai.
Shopping in Dubai is one of the most popular reasons for making a trip to this fascinating destination. There are several enormous shopping malls in Dubai where you can browse through the latest designer fashion for hours, along with a number of souks or markets, where you can barter over goods that range from spices through to ornate gold jewellery.
Dubai shopping is dominated by the two major sale seasons - the Dubai Shopping Festival in January, and the August Dubai Summer Surprises, when the already tax free prices are discounted by up to 75%, and most shops offer extra incentives to make you spend even more!
Use our guide to the top Dubai shopping to plan your bargain hunting in this amazing destination, and get more from shopping in Dubai:

This outdoor textile souk is famous for the sheer variety of "designer goods" on sale. Don't expect the real thing and expect some furious haggling over price in this traditional area of Dubai.
Old Souk
Dubai Old Souk is where you can find the aromatic stalls selling spice and incense. Located close to the creek just around the corner from the Gold Souk, this is a great place to pick up some souvenirs of your visit.
Gold Souk
In this covered maze of streets, the windows are filled with huge glittering displays of ornate gold and jewellery. Prices are tax-free and well below those that you might pay in the UK, making the gold souk a popular choice with couples.
Dubai Duty Free
The duty free shopping area at Dubai International Airport is a great place to get rid of any Dirhams you have left before flying home. Rock bottom prices and amazing special offers on tobacco and perfume make for a great reason to check in early for your flight!
