Tough legislation about the sale and consumption of alcohol in Dubai means that many of the bars and nightclubs in Dubai are located within the large international hotels - particularly those on Sheikh Zayed Road - although there are plenty of exceptions to this rule.

Rock Bottom at Regent Palace Hotel
A popular club with the large population of ex-pats in Dubai, Rock Bottom gets fairly crowded at the weekend. With a relaxed feel, and great music, Rock Bottom is right in the city centre, close to the Bur Juman shopping mall.
Kasbah at The One and Only Royal Mirage
The Swanky Kasbah club by the beach at the One& Only Royal Mirage Hotel Kasbah is popular with locals and tourists alike. The music is mainly Arabic, but the overall feel of the place is top draw.
Irish Village
The Irish Village prides itself on offering the best pint of Guinness in Dubai! Partly outdoors, it is great on warm winter evenings and lively during televised football matches. The bar is just by the Tennis club, so it is a great place to go star spotting during the annual tennis tournament!
Vu's at Emirates Towers
Located on the 50th floor of the Emirates Towers Hotel, Vu's offers excellent views over Dubai, and is a popular place to enjoy a few cocktails before eating out at one of the many restaurants in the Dubai hotels along Sheikh Zayed Road.
Bahri Bar at Mina A'Salam
Located on an outdoor terrace overlooking the sea, Bahri Bar at the Mina A Salam Hotel at Madinat Jumeirah is a great place to enjoy a sunset and a cocktail as the sun goes down. The bar is open for as long as it has customers, and is popular place to unwind after a hard day sunbathing!
